February 13th Update: Hey guys (and some amazing girls...) This semester has had a great start to it. Zac and Kevin's place threw down hardcore for Poker Night, and everyone had a blast. A rep came last week and hopefully we'll have another event soon. Sarah's article is being looked at by Cigar Magazine for possible publication (SAWEET) so hopefully that'll go through for us. I can't make it to the meeting tonight but smoke a cigar for me and I'll see you all next week.

November 23rd Update: Hey guys, Sarah wrote us a great article and it's now avaliable on the webpage. Click here to take a look at it.

October 30th Update: Yo, remember this upcoming Wednesday will be a costume Cigar Club meeting, so you better look ridiculous. Also, the shirts will be ordered TODAY and we will have them in about 2 weeks, so thanks to all who ordered one. They will help expand the club.

October 18th Update: Hey guys, I'll be keeping the site updated from now on, so be sure to check the website often for important information.

Last night was one of the best cigar clubs to date, so good work to all that came out. There were quite a few new members, so new guys be sure to get your dues in to Perky next week. Also, to all members who want a shirt, I will be sending out a survey over the listserv, so fill it out and bring $11 for your shirt.

We are in the process of adding a new webmaster, so be sure to check back often for updates to the site - From your friendly (soon to be former) webmaster Pat

Our agenda is fairly
open nowadays. We're meeting on Wednesdays at 7:00pm at Champs.

Need help selecting a cigar from Blacksburg Pipe and Tobacco? Contact us. We'll be able to meet you at the store and/or introduce you to Joe, the shop owner.

Being and Registered Student Organization (RSO) has some benefits not granted to most small groups of smokers. The Cigar Club at Virginia Tech has permission to request use of university facilities (i.e. meeting (class) rooms, banquet rooms). It also has the ability to request money from different university funding organizations. In order to obtain funding for an event, the event must benefit the university as a whole. Guest speakers at the college will be funded. Trips to a conference or competition will be funded at least partially. However, events like fieldtrips, simply to tour a facility or to see a presentation, won't be funded

The main goal of the Cigar Club, however, is discovering and enjoying different cigars and pipe tobaccos in a relaxed social forum. With more input from potential members we can more clearly define and amend our mission statement.
